Default super unleaded !

Have been running my scooby on normal unleaded until i was told to use super , do i need to reset my ecu and whats the best (easiest) way ? its got 57i indution kit and scoobyclinc backbox otherwise standard.

Depends really what model scoob you have Jap Or Uk ?
I use super when theres no optimax around and car runs fine uk modded car.
Ecu will self learn but thats not good if its already detting...Do you have a knocklink ?

it's a uk my00. sorry dont know what a knock link is . How will i know if it's detting or not ?

Try using optimax its supposed to be 98ron and a lot of people swear by it,Your car with the induction kit fitted will increase the timing and may run lean on the standard map??I havnt seen any knock activity on either types of fuel..
A Knocklink is a device that detects detonation\pinking by a sensor fitted to the engine block and a serious of leds in the car,Try doing some searches on here youll find plenty of answers and varied opinions...

I changed to Optimax from BP 98ron fuel, decreased the number of knocks i see on my Powerfc..

its a 00 uk turbo, it would run fine on 95 ron, let alone 97ron..so dont worry,shudnt need an ecu reset either..

Is there any point putting 97 ron in then . i mean im paying more but am i gaining anything ?

unless you are racing the car day in day out and need every extra reliable bhp then no! but id still put the super unleaded in anyway man,peace of mind.. im only using 95 coz we aint got anything else in this ****hole country (southern ireland)
