The RA will have different gearing (lower) lighter (no sound proofing, lighter glass, panels etc, 30kg lighter in fact) probably lacks the comforts like a/c, elec windows. elec mirrors, central locking.

The RA will also have the DCCD, intercooler water spray, no abs and two pot rear calipers. There is no difference in power, but the RA will accelerate quicker due to the shorter gearing.

does the ra and sti have the same engine? ie are they as strong as each other?

have seen a v nice ra on here that i am thinking of, but my first choice was the sti.

am worred if i would be losing out on anything by going for the ra over the sti

Well for starters it wont have none of these, the DCCD, intercooler water spray but it will have abs and the shorter gearing. The sti will have forged internals the above wrx ra will have normal internals. nice car btw

Can you do us all a favour and DON'T type everything in CAPITALS? It makes it hard to read (especially for us who look at screens all too often).

Do use capitals where they are needed though

The WRX RA has a closed-deck block and also has a 5th 'non-functioning' fuel injector on the inlet manifold. As Banny_sti says, the internals are the same as the normal WRX versions.
