Default my00 running bad after FMIC. HELP!!

Hi,

I i'm new to this forum and need help. My car is running crap after fitting a FMIC.

Car Spec:
my00 uk turbo with std td04 turbo.
blitz SUS induction Kit
HKS cat back exhaust
uprated fuel pump
blitz spec r boost controller (16 psi max)

Now after fitting my FMIC (hybrid style, off ebay) the doesn't run right. When driving normally it drives ok but as soon as i put my foot down it goes like ****.

When i lift off, change gear and put my foot back down there is a large amount of lag, i was expecting a bit more lag, but during this lagy period the car is very judery and feels like its missing or there's a fueling problems or somthing. Really not nice and the car is much slow because of it.

Any ideas?? do you thing its needs mapping to over come this problem?

A Leak somewhere, Recheck all connections or plug one end of the system & fill the other with air from a compressor etc, & you'll be able to find it.

How have you setup the recirc valve?

Sounds like its running v lean, when was your maf replaced last (if ever), the fmic will allow a big change in air density that means more fuel is needed, so you are faced with a remap to get it right, and a new maf if its not been replaced.

There shouldn't be any leeks as all the joins are done up nice a tight, but i will try the thing with air compressor when i get the car back next week as it's in having the front end resprayed.

It had a new MAF sensor about 2000 miles ago because the car wouldn't idle properly, which solved that problem.

Bob glad to hear you thing it can be solved by mapping, i think i'll buy a new turbo, de-cat downpipe and new uppipe then get it map, all ASAP. Just have to drive it round very gently till then.

I am using the standard recirc valve, bolted to an adopter plate/flange with a 90 degree bend samco hose connecting into the return pipe.

Finally got my car back from being painted

Changed the MAF sensor still the same.

Pressure tested the system and found a leak on one of the welds on the pipe work. Now waiting for a reply from the supplier

Hope this fixes the problem, if not i think it's got to be a re-map.
