Headers/upipe/spool/pops and bangs question
genrally.....
how would ported standerd headers and a zerosports 60/50/60mm (vortex thingybob) uppipe affect spool and the turbos boost limit
the boost was set on my car via a dawse device before
the engine was blew up
now it has been ran in properlly i opened it up for the first time today and noticed the max boost had dropped a bit, although it "seams" like it comes in a hell of a lot harder
it has been a long time scince i floored my car (well over 2 months) so the surge i felt can not really be measured, although i felt my stomach kinda curl up a bit (like when you get scared lol)
the car also pops and bangs a hell of a lot more now, i head previous threads which would suggest that the dawse device without a drilled bleed hole would show this more, but it was popping and banging on throttle lift off running actuator preasure only
i do not have a VTA chav horn
i do have a TAS adjustable piston type recirc valve fitted (standerd 97wrx one was doing the moo cow thing )
thoughts?

the car seams ****loads faster TBH
i gave it a full throttle roundabout exit on the way home from work and i thought the thing was going to lift its front wheels of the ground
i dont even know how high i revved it, i was to busy thinking "****"
i had "thought" that the car was faster but was not sure
after seeing how much the back end dropped, now i am very sure
did a quick check and it was fueling to 895mv on full boost so the fueling is fine
no knock retard was noticed but i was busy keeping an eye on the road
i have locked it up fopr the night, i know that if i go out tonight and try to get used to it i WILL end up in trouble, either by crashing or with the police
will set off for work early tomorrow when the roads are quiet and do a few more tests, it just seams like its pretty much the same up the revs till it comes on boost, and then it just revs like buggery

the fueling is fine
the ignition advance is fine
i think it might be the recirc dumpvalve?
no idea who ported the headers, i bought them from "welloilbefooked" for the small sum of £25 and got the zerosports uppipe thrown in for free, cheers mate
