Which Exhaust?
Hi all,
Looking for some advice or experiences on what exhaust im best to go for, including a de-cat downpipe.
Want something thats quiet ie not really harsh sounding or too intrusive into the cabin but still has a nice burble. It's an V2 Ra so i'm running a fairly high revs just to cruise on a motorway.
I'd also like a pretty small tailpipe, ideally 3.5" maybe 4" at a push. Being a standard looking Ra i dont think a huge exhaust would really do it any favours and i like the subtle look.
It's getting an Andy.F Apexi at the start of Sept, the main components are standard except uprated pump/regulator, hks panel filter (in it when i bought it)
Prob going to be around the 300 mark but cant guarantee if it'll stay like that for long
Kenny

I think the back-box is where the main difference is made between feckin loud, loud and quieter-ish.
If you want quiet-ish, then go for something like Magnex (looks awful IMO)/Scorpion/H&S back-box with a silenced centre section. I dont think then that the type of downpipe makes much difference
Dont do blitz, HKS or 5Zigen unless you want your ears to bleed!
I think the likes of Afterburner and Ninja are somewhere in between these two groups.
On the other hand, you could always have a powerflow job made up if there's a place locally. You can then choose your own spec and your own noise levels within reason.
No matter what you do, it will be louder than standard and there's no getting away from that.
