STI Intercooler Without Re-map
Just collected my bug eye STI i/c ready for my WRX, is it worth fitting without a re-map, as i am prob not going to map for a while.?
Will it improve the car on its own?
Cheers

I fitted one to my PPP and did a delta dash run before and afterwards.
Peak boost came in 200 rpm earlier and a very very slight increase in air flow, but nothing of note on the road dyno.
Injector duty went to 103% very briefly on a slight hill but no knock was picked up.
I'd wait for the remap until you've got a few more items to add on.

You'll be fine, remap not necessary IMHO, as little change - slight increase in flow ( depends if you had the old slanty TMIC or the better straight one before swapping over, as that will determine the change you sill see! )
If anything, it will have colder air hence a bit safer, and a bit more power due to slightly more / better air flow but well within the ECU's limits to handle ( lie an induction kit perhaps! ) - a remap later would get more out of it though, as said above!
