Went to donnington again today but the car was suffering through the bends with fuel surge and then backfired also a few (red lights) on the knocklink so we called it a day once this started to happen.

Im also running a fuel surge tank but not convinced its ok.

The car is high spec running 400 bhp on motec.

Optimax and millers booster and we put Nf in too.

Help please guys. A tweek of the map maybe.?

Edited to add the 2 are not connected det was on the straights at high revs and with no drop in fuel pressure and boost running 1.7 bar.

Sounds like your fuel surge tank setup is a worse configuration than stock and needs revision.

However, for others, a common error in fitting a simple Walbro pump is to use the shorter supplied filter sock rather than the original.

Thanks for that john i do agree with you im not happy with the surge tank and im thinking of getting the sti intank surge system.

I just cant work out why she is detting though ?
