My sister-in-law has a 2003 Impreza WRX STi. It has recently been with the Subaru dealership at Monks Heath in Macclesfield for two weeks why they try to establish why it's driving like a bag of poo.
It's struggling when she puts her foot down, like spluttering almost, and it seems to have forgotten that it's a turboed car, as if it has no boost whatsoever.
The dealership have given her the car back and told her there's nothing wrong with it - typical fobbing off to a female driver me thinks - but she's a bit lost at what to do next.
I'm going down to Power Engineering tomorrow to collect my own car, and she was going to come with me to see if they could take a look but it seems they're a bit busy.
Can anyone recommend a good place to take in the North West.
I thought it may be something like the mass air flow and perhaps the ecu has gone into some kind of "safe" mode cos all is not well.
Any advice would really be appreciated![Smile](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Cheers
Ruth

i changed an air flow meter once and it sorted out the problem. it never showed up as a fault on the diagnostics. but first try disconnect the battery for ten mins and give it a shot. if it does boost and then go into limp mode again you might have bad fuel. try octane booster then.nitrous formula worked wonders for me.
