Please post your power graph scans..
Interested to see actual power graphs you lot have..
Heard all the talk but would like to see the figures...
We all know different rollers can massage stats but all the same it's of interest to me and many others I'm sure.
I know the rolling road is not everything.. but it provides a good clear indication of the hard cash you throw at these cars...
Please include car specs as detailed as you can.
From UK to JAP, WRX to 22B lets see em

Perhaps look at http://dyno.scoobynet.co.uk/ for runs from some of the old timers.
It hasn't been updated for a very long time - it would be good to see what newage cars are doing.

If you see what I mean? The torque/bhp seems to stay strong all the way to 6-7k.
Would also be interesting to carry out a run and then add octane boost. My car is mapped for 98ron but I wonder if the octane boost would help things along..

After about 10 runs on the dyno, ambient temps exceeded 30degC (Wouldnt be as lumpy or fall off as bad after a cooler run without heatsoak).
Spec C with a couple of tweaks. Peak power made at 1.15bar of boost
361bhp/356lbft

Very interesting seeing these figures.
Begs the question, why is it that 'dyno scoobs' hasn't been updated for so long. There should be a consertive (sp?) effort to rejuvenate (sp???) it.

Begs the question... what about the big players... how much lag do they deal with.. are we talking boost by 5k onwards with 4-500bhp?

Back to the power graphs....
Personally I think people get too hung up on peak power figures, as in isolation they dont mean squat. Even comparing graphs in their entirety in isolation is not very indicative..... start over laying one graph with another, thats when you can start to see the better comparisons.
Remember you dont get anything for nothing.... what you gain in one area you will lose in another. If your after really good low down response and driveability, expect to be capped on outright power. If you want ***** out power, expect to sacrifice lowdown response and driveability. Of course some of these traits can be somewhat minimized by how you are prepared to adjust driving style and of course what your ultimate requirement for the car is (ie very quick A to B car or drag moster or top speed demon - or to a degree a accumulation of all). Obviously these are rule of thumb and not an exact science...... trial and error are the task of the day!

BTW,
I think Floyd should go for a JDM Twin Scroll Engine next...... with only basic mods the power to weight ratio on his Classic would be awesome. It's flaming quick and so responsive in mine, so christ knows what it would feel like with over 100kg's less weight!
