Question NON start problem

drove my car around all day sat then parked it up. went to start it last night and it fired up for about 2 seconds then cut out , did this a few times now all it does is crank over . has anyone else had this problem and what is the cause ?

stupid question, but have you checked al your elec points, sparks etc......?


had had a sim prob once, the eingine was turning, but no start, turned out to be the cam belt was wearing.

but to be honest it coulf be a q of a million things.

i've today had the same problem... It was the spare set of keys. The immobiliser light key symbol on the dash stays illuminated. my set of keys I use normally work no problem... seems like the car has lost it's memory.. however it has started the car once or twice.. I need advice too!!!

Had sim problems dont mean to scare you but it was piston 2 slammed the head cost me lots to put right..

how can a piston going mean that one key doesn't work and the other does... read the thread!!

tried the key again today and it works... most odd....

cheers guys , gonna swap the coil pack and see what appens , someone at my work also mentioned the fuel pump may ave packed up . off to investigate
