An oil question that requires a Yes / No answer!!!
As a fan of fully synth Mobil 1 Motorsport, would it be okay to use it in my newly acquired MY03 STI Type UK PPP?
Okay....I lied about the Yes / No answer bit....which SAE is reccomended as Halfords stock two types I believe?
Cheers,
Craig.

Although heavier than recommended in the book for "normal" driving, 15/50 is fine. You may want to consider a lighter viscosity for winter use ie 5/40 Unfortunatly Mobil don't market this grade in the UK although it is/was supplied to Subaru dealers as the recommended full-synthetic for servicing.

I believe that M1 only comes in 2 viscosities in the UK (0w-40 and 15w-50).
Neither is really suitable in my opinion (although others will disagree), I think your handbook states 5w-30 or 5w-40.
The 0w-40 would be the closest match but according the the experts on this forum M1 0w-40 will cause your engine to blow up.
There again, what do I know?
Cheers
