heres a strange thing, every now and again my fans will kick straight in, on start up, i aint even gone anywhere!
ive got a feeling its a sensor
any ideas?

engine coolant temp sensor.. it is in the cross pipe under the inlet manifold

the one the ecu reads... as there is one for the temp gauge too.

Got air con? When air con is switched on the fans run continually irrespective of engine temp.

 

thanks for the input lads, i stuck the two black connectors together last nite and got a 21 and a 23 error code. engine coolant and MAF sensor.

would the fact that ive taken my thermostat out (due to overheating) just a temporary measure new one on the way, have any bearing on this?

other than that, any ideas on cost?
