Default Is my Clutch going or MAF ?

I was driveing down the road there after geting new exhaust fitted and all that while in 5th gear at 3000 revs or so the boost kicks in and then the rev counter just went flying up as if it was out of gear. Grand in 1st 2nd and 3rd but 4th is a bit the same. Bit of a noise camr from the engine. Im hopeing its the clutch and not something more serious.

Thanks for any help.

Sounds exactly like mine did when I first got it.

Would drive with no probs in 1st 2nd 3rd, but it was a little funny in 4th and slipped like hell in 5th as soon as the boost came in.

Had the clutch replaced and been fine ever since

Has the biting point of the clutch got gradually higher on the pedal? That's usually a good indicator that the friction plate is wearing.
