reading fault codes but fan comes on?

connected the green and black connectors together to see if i had any faults there wer no flashes on the dash,but the fan on the rad come on then the fuel pump pulsed and so on whats all that about is that right lol?

Yes thats right, connecting both black and green's puts the electrics into a test cycle, you only need to connect the one of the pairs for fault codes, can't remeber if its blacks or greens though.

yup sorted on mine its connecting the 2 blacks altho some says iheres are the 2 greens ...strange anyway got 3 codes come up 11,22,45. pressure sensor,crankshaft sensor and knock sensor?
