Legacy GT Questions
I am not sure if this forum can help if it is only dedicated to imprezzas but I figured many of you may have some of legacy knowledge.
I just purchased a 2005 legacy Gt, and am a new subaru owner, looking for some basic mods. I plan to do a good bit to this car and knowing that the engine is similar to the sti motor, what parts are interchangeable. Can I use an STI turbo, or the brembo brakes?
What other minor tweaks should be made?
Thanks
Jason

If you mean the 2.5 turbo model, we don't get that in the UK.
The US 2.5 turbo Legacy has a different intercooler, plastic inlet manifold, lots of info on mods for that on NASIOC.
If they sold it here I would have one like a shot. As it is the nearest I could get would be a JDM model and fling a 2.5 block in it.

Well, as John has menioned, the Legacy has almost no interchangability with regard to engine bits. It is an all new, and very different layout to the Impreza (other than the block).
However, brakes will bolt on (with the right sized discs). That is not a minor mod though, and is big money. Upgraded pads would my first stop prior to chukcing a huge wad of cash at it...
Other mods - JDM rear ARB (swaybar in your lingo), get some decent rubber for starters. It is always good to keep the handling and grip ahead of your power curve IMHO
