It's a version of the Hybrid FMIC which they are discontinuing and the GT spec is replacing it as far as I know.

From what I've been told the GT spec is 40% lighter and performs better with less lag.

Unless they have shortened the pipe route the only other way to reduce lag would be to have a better flowing core/end tanks, wouldn't worry to much about the weight myself.

Do you have any pics of the GT spec?

Wish I could re-size it so the wording is more clear.

Yea, I was sent an email from that bloke from underground racing who is the supplier on the long FMIC ebay thread in Gen Tec. He was saying he has these GT Spec FMIC's for a bit more money. Ill see what the difference in price is.

QUOTE-we can now also upgrade the FMIC kit further to include the even larger GT spec intercooler unit for an additional fee.

Smile GT SPEC

The flyer sais more or less the folowing.

"Through there design there products are the choice of leading performance comapnys. The new GT SPEC has much less pressure drop compared to our already highly efficent bar and plate design and is 40% lighter in weight. The ultimate performance isguaranteed as there is less restriction on the turbo compressor wheel which leads to a freer flow on the exhaust turbine wheel"

Then just tells you about the cars that have won drift comps in oz and what products they had on the cars. Like the hybrid boost controler.

Thats some eyesight i have : )

Just had a scan over and couldn't see anybody mention.... Monster kit is bar and plate core but GT Spec is tube and fin (ala HKS core). That's where the weight saying and supposed less pressure drop come from.

Tony.

PS Engine bay looks fantastic Ted

The monster kit is just what the 'normal' Hybrid kit is called.

Hybrid do a smaller non monster core but i've never seen or heard it fitted to imprezas.
