TOO MUCH POWER, CAUSING CLUTCH 2 SLIP
I have a wrx on a 94 plate, its got a EVC fitted, just had all the turbo and power stuff sorted, and its knocking out about 300BHP, its hitting about 1.3bar on full boost, but when boosting fully, its causing the clutch to slip, is there anything i can do, if a have to change the clutch, do i need to change the flywheel?????i'm panicking, there must be a cheaper fix!!!!

if its slipping then you can either downgrade the power, or replace it, simple as that. Its advisable to change the flywheel, although you can get the oe one skimmed. Otherwise it may leave an uneven surface for the clutch to bite on to.

cheapest upgrade is a paddle in my eyes you need this if your power is greater than 300 bhp techno 2 racingdo a four or six paddle plate around 130 ish then get a standard pressure off a sti new one that is ebay best around 100 quid ish . get flywheel skimmed 20 quid most ... then fit it yourself easy done just heavy box thats all . lasted 8 month so far on my 360 2.5 conversion done 28 launches in one day at elvington etc street use too not bad set offs not too rough lasted longer than my mates uk clutch did in his standard uk . and belive me took loads more stick

300bhp is not much, this must be a std clutch and the extra power we all search for has caused it to slip, I had the same thing (3 times!)
Poll on here for an uprated single plate clutch, the paddles are very difficult to drive, I have a 4 plate paddle sintered clutch with an OEM pressure plate and it is a bitch to do traffic in.
The reason I went down the paddle route is because I wore out 3 OEM clutches on 300 bhp. I do hard starts, around 4-5 a day (as thats the fun of a tuned impreza). My paddle friction plate was £120 on ebay, it is an AP Racing brand new job, top quality.
If your clutch is slipping now then it is dead, reducing the power could cause more problems if the material is down to the rivets now. You may not need a flywheel skim yet, but waiting may make this a necessity, although the reduced weight may be a bonus.
