I have brought an sti8 s/wheel for my 02wrx, just wondering how involved these where to change, if indeed they do swop over.
Should have checked this before buying it i spose
Also looking for airbag for above wheel, anyone know where i can get hold of one?
Cheers

About 45mins work - so long you got the STi power loom with it as well!!
The STi airbag won't fit the WRX loom "spinner" on the steering wheel.
Power off - don't disconnect power loom for 30 mins.
Take off shrouds around steering wheel.
Undo and pull down the lower dash around pedals.
Disconnect power loom from under the dash (black and yellow? connectors)
Undo 2 side bolts holding airbag to steering wheel (or not your case)
Pull away airbag and horn connectors from loom spinner on column
Undo large nut to remove steering wheel.
Remove 4 screws holding WRX loom spinner in place.
Reverse procedure to put on STi wheel but only 2 spinner mount holes will line up. Drill a 3rd right next to the bottom lhs STi one to give a better fit.

Yes they will but only as said, if you have the STI spinner which is fitted at the back of the steering wheel.
Did you buy the wheel without the centre piece which has the airbag inside, if so you will have next to no chance of getting one on its own and if it doesnt have the STI spinner fitted take it back and get your cash back as its useless.
I have fitted some of the STI8 steering wheels to MY01 onwards cars but the new wheel came as a complete item with no parts missing, it takes 20minutes to change them over if its complete.

There's one here, but it's going for silly money. Might be worth contacting the seller to see if they'll sell it seperate.
