'01 WRX with just D/P cat - MOT friendly?

I am thinking of de-catting the up-pipe on my '01 WRX, already have a de-cat centre section so that will leave just one cat in the downpipe (I know the power gain will be limited if I leave the D/P cat in).. is anyone running this spec and still passed an MOT?

if the car is warm then you shouldnt have a problem....the cat in the D/P is quite large....
although it might have been better to do this a couple of weeks back eh?
it could play silly buggers with the map.

Was the mapper who suggested doing the up-pipe at some stage, said it would not really effect much, slightly quicker spool up, + a few HP (don't think he said a tweak to the map would be essential), but worth doing as a safety measure to avoid danger of overcooking the cat.. just don't fancy going to the trouble only to find it fails the next MOT...

My 01 has a decat up& downpipe but still has the centre cat-it passed the emmission test easily once it was warmed up.So you should have no probs whatsoever with a d.pipe cat.
No need for remap(i also monitor with PSi unit and knocklink),although you would make better use of the decat with one though.

Most jap imports only have 1 cat in the downpipe (well the classics anyway) and they sail through
