the oil vapours that the crank & cams breathe back into the system normally are routed to a catch tank instead of being put back into the intake system which will contaminate your pipes & mix with the air which inturn will lower the octane of your fuel once mixed

I used to have loads of oil in my intercooler its been dry since I fitted a catch can. the catch can is just in front of the battery. its also a P1
