I am in the process of putting new springs on my 2002 wrx wagon, I have done 3 corners with no problems.
When I got to the rear drivers, the 2 nuts that hold the strut to the hub are solid.
I have tried everything to get them undone but they just will not budge.
Does anyone know the thread size of the self locking nut?
Looks like I will have to crack the nut and replace it.
Phil

Have you tried a real 'breaker bar' to free the nut? (ie 600mm long)
An air driven impact wrench is the sure fire way to unscrew. They are desparatly tight.
I THINK they are M12 nyloc nuts.
Best get some from a Scooby dealer. here is one in Cradley Heath i think (I live in Wolves myself)
Graham.
