Backend change from a MY02 to MY04?

Backend change from a MY02 to MY04?
Does anyone know if you can fit the MY04 rear bumper and lights to a MY02 WRX? I know the bumpers are basically the same apart from the small groove taken out the bumper for the new lights that just lip into. I'm sure Subaru did this so you couldn't buy the crystal MY04 lights for the bugeye and make it look identicle from the back!!!
