Question Exhaust Gasket Question

hay all, thanks for the advice fingers crossed all will be sorted have ordered a new afterburner de-cat mid section from scoobyworld today.

Thanks to the guys at Scoobyworld that I spoke to as well, very helpfull indeed.

My next question for all you technical minded people out there as I know very little about this, I have also ordered a gasket set from roger clark, now I under stand the gasket for the back box and the two bolts, but how does the gasket from the down pipe to the mid section fit togther i.e O ring 2 springs (how do the springs work?) and 2 bolts, sorry if it sounds stupid just want to clear it up for my own mind.

Cheers again guys.

ok this is quite simple. The pic below should illustrate.

put the cone gasket thing into the downpipe the connect the centre section. put the bolts thru the springs then thru the holes so they point towards the front of the car. Then use a ratchet and spanner to tighten the bolt and nut. The spring will compress and itll all become clear. The whole bolt wont fit thru the holes so this is what the spring does.

hope this helps
