What MY? 03 onwards?

My 04 has been doing it for a while now. It seems the faster you pull it, the more of a squeak it makes.

I'll get my dealer to sort it at the next service, though it's that annoying really.

Mine does this altho its a 51 plate.......

What does the dealer do to sort this as it'll be a DIY job for me as its out of warranty.... realy pain on the ***, creaks when i'm driving as well. I currently have a big bit of ugly tape over the "runner" which stops the creaking but it still makes the high pitched "squeal" when pulling it out! (no pun intended, lol)

I have a 53 plate STI and it does the same! Must get the dealer to fix it in the next service then.

Weird!

You need to take off the lower trim panel that the seat belt feeds into.

Once off, you will see that there are strips off plastic running horizontally across.

File these down with a Dremel or something similar.

So that the belt won't rub on them and make a noise.

Sorted
