Default bottom end fail on uk spec scooby

Hi, I'm new to scoobies so I need some information. My friend has a UK spec scooby engine code EJ20GNW6ND. I have taken the engine out and one of the conrods has spat the bearing out so will need to recon the engine. I have seen a few posts of people talking about the 2.5 will this bottom end be a straight swap and where is the best place to order them from. Cheers

loads of info if you use the search facilty!

It is a straight swap, but you'll need to uograde a lot of things for a 2.5, fmic, injectors, bigger turbo etc.

Actually, the only thing that you will have to change is the ecu, or the get the original re-mapped

Cheers for that. As long as the heads and gearbox fit on that's all I'm bothered about really. Where is the best place to get a 2.5l short block from? Also what is a reasonable price?
