Default Fitted VF34, De-cat and FPR - now running ****

I've just had a Vf34 turbo, H&S decat downpipe and aeromotive fuel pressure regulator fitted to my my00 uk turbo.

All parts brand new.

Was running ok before, with just a small amount of lag after gear changes on hard acceleretion due to FMIC (time to fill the piping)

Other mods:
uprated fuel pump
blitz induction kit
blitz boost controller

The boost is now coming in very slowly, car seems to be finding it very hard to build up revs, feels very lumpy like it's missing and even when the boost does come in there is no power.

Tried with boost controller set to off, so the actuator is controlling the boost and still the same.

Anyboby got any ideas?? Could it just be due to mapping?? (it is being remapped next thursday by andy F)
How do i check the FPR is set right??

I wouldnt run the car on boost if you have just had it fitted without a remap.I assume youve gone from the standard TD04 unit? you will probably find that because the air/fuel hasnt been mapped yet the ECU it leaning the mixture due to the increase in air being sucked through the turbo and fmic id drive it off boost until its been remapped or it might all end in tears
just my 2p i might be wrong but better to be safe than sorry

yeah i'm going to drive off boost and as little as possible until next week.

Do the symptoms i am getting sound a bit extreme for what i've had done/just needing a remap?

Well i agree with the above, if ya give Andy a ring and ask him what u should set the fuel presure to and he should be able to tell u, the car may run a bit better, but u still need to keep off the boost...

Set the FPR to 2.8 bar atmos at idle, the ECU should be able to cope untill the remap as long as you stay off boost

Doesn't seem quite so bad today.
Am going to stay off boost now though just to be on the safe side.

To check at atmos, do you disconnect the vacuum/boost pipe from the FPR??
Checked it with the pipe still connected and at idle it's 46 PSI (just over 3 bar)
maybe a little high??

Yes, just pull off the boost pipe, and set it a WARM idle.

I can't remember if pressure reading goes up or down when you reconnet, I think down so yes, you may be running a bit rich

Normal fuelpresure is about 3.0-3.2bar At idle with the vaccuum disconnected

set it to .8 bar with the vacuum hose off. If you leave the hose on you'll need to subtract vaccum reading from 3 bar ie, -0.5 bar vaccuum means set the FPR to 2.3 ar with hose on. You'll need a boost gauge for that though!

Std fuel pressure on the classics is 2.2bar with the vac connected.
