Default low boost pressure

picked up my new(er) p1 yesterday, knew it was having boosting probs.

Have changed vacuum control unit, still not boosting properly, checked all pipes the eye can see for splits etc, no problems there, done ecu reset and its showing no fault codes yet still not boosting properly.

turbo to ic hose = fine
Y piece under ic to ic = fine
y piece hose = fine
dV to ic gasket = fine
vacuum hose to d/v = fine
throttle body to ic hose = fine
try another dv = tried std, forge recirc & HKS SSQV still no better
cleaned boost solenoid and still no improvment.

The car has been decatted & tek3'd @ xtreme scoobies.

Any other ideas as to what the problem could be???

Might be worth trying an ECU reset first. It may be running in safe mode which will limit the amount of boost.

A quick check for the maf is to simply unplug the connection while the engine is running on idle. If the maf is ok the car should either stall or idle very poorly.
If the car continues to idle ok with the maf disconnected it means the ecu has learned to componsate for a duff maf.

Hope this helps.

Graham.
