Replacing front fog brackets - 00MY
Is this a bumper off job?
I've just bought a set of PIAA 80 series Pro XT lamps for my 00MY turbo from Scoobyworld. Got them fitted and wired up already, but the passenger side fog bracket has lost one of its threads, so I've bought some replacements from Glenburgie Subaru, just to make sure that all is safe and secure.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I should go about replacing the bracket?? There doesn't seem to be any space behind the bumper for the old bracket to conveniently drop out of, nor for the new bracket to be easily pushed through and into place.
Also need to get hold of some torx (or similar) security bolts to confuse the pikey ******* who might take a fancy to my spangly new lamps. Any ideas as to where I might be able to get hold of some??
Cheers
Kev

Hi Kev,
Security screws - http://www.screwfix.com/app/sfd/cat/...04957&id=11446
IIRC New brackets available from Scoobyworld (or similar)
Once bolted onto the new brackets you need to drill a 3/4" hole into the bumper (not seen even when normal fog lights are on) for the large nut to pass through.
PM me if you need more detail.
Chris
