Hi Guys
So I got this squeek, sounds like something is catching with my handbrake on the rear wheels ...
yeah i know its common
So i want to remove the rear disks and calipers so i can have a better look.
Is this easy to do, and if so how do I go about it - simple as possible instructions please
I just wanted to get as much info as possible about it before i start taking things apart and then realise they dont go back together again ..![Smile](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Cheers and Thanks
Edwin

1. HANDBRAKE OFF in gear.
2. Jack car up.
3. Wheel off.
4. Undo 2 x 14mm bolts that hold the caliper on (note there are another two 14mms that hold the caliper on - no need to undo thoses but it doesn't matter if you do)
5. Back of the brake cover low down you'll find a rubber bung - pull it out.
Inside (hard to see due to lower arm) is a small toothed wheel.
Using a small scredriver spin it to undo the handbrake shoes.
6. The disk should just pull off (if it doesn't spin the wheel some more)
7. Remove pads from caliper.
8. Reverse for refitting.
Hope this helps
Chris

Forgot to add - when replacing the disks - spin the little toothed wheel until the disk won't turn, then back it off a couple of turns (or until the handbrake works on 3 clicks)
