PRODRIVE DOWN PIPE
Has anyone had any problems with their ppp downpipe rattleing i'm assuming its the cat in it but it rattles when ya accelerating.(03 sti) are these covered under warranty does anyone know.

It's probably the heat shield on the turbo up-pipe. I had the up-pipe replaced on my car after 6 months and it started to rattle again a couple of weeks ago. Don't know if it's a Prodrive part though.
It will be covered under warranty, but be prepared to visit the dealer a few times. Rattles are hard to find and they won't buy another one in because 'someone on SN had a similar problem' I would insist that you go for a drive with the dealer to demonstrate the problem. The first time my dealer had the car, they said they couldn't find a problem...

oh right ill check that first. i know if you put the car up on the ramps and get underneath and bang the exhaust with ya hand you can here it rattleing and it appears to be inside the downpipe but ill check the sheild first.thx anders.

hi m8, had the same problem with mine. had a look under the bonnet and the mechanic had left a bolt out of the turbo heatshield. sent it back to garage got it sorted. been having problems with leaking exhaust joints though, doing my head in
