Default IC water tank

I have noticed that i was putting plenty water into the IC spray tank in the boot

So i fill'd it right up and withing 2 weeks its almost empty and the dash light is on. * i never used it the whole time*

Is it common for these to leak ? i cant find any puddles in the boot or down beside that tank.

Any one ever had this problem if so where's the best place to check for leaks.

Thanks

When you say import, do you mean as in a Jap import model or a Euro one?
The Jap model also has an auto button next to the manual spray button. If in ON AUTO mode then you will get through water.
If a Euro import then its likely that you need a decent non return valve in hose near nozzle. Under braking is forcing water out through the nozzle and you'll soon loose your tank contents without pressing the manual button.

i suppose i should get this fixed quite quickly then.

is there any type of antifreez i should put in with the water over the cold winter months.

Some advice, swap the pipes for the washer jets on the bonnet with the washer jets going to the intercooler waterspray - the IC water tank will now be the washer jet tank (bigger) and vice versa...waterspray lasts a lot longer that way

i've got a 95 RA and i know a lad with a 96, and my car is the other way round to his. My spray tank is the one next to the airfilter iirc. Which is the big one? It's dark now
