how do you guys use your air filter cleaning kits?
got a green cleaning pack for my panel filter and the instructions are a bit contradictory to say the least.
on the bottle of cleaner it says impregnate the filter for 15 mins then rinse with hot water,shake/airline off the excess then dry off on a warm radiator or hairdryer.
but the can of oils instructions are us the cleaner for 5 mins then rinse with cold water and then let air dry only, not to use an airline.
can anyone post up their own methods or which one to follow please?
sure it's pretty straight forward, but my main query is do you fully submerge the filter in the cleaner of just swill it around a bit?

I used to spray my HKS filter with the cleaner, leave it to impregnate, squeeze it submerged in hot water until the dirt is off it, then squeeze the water out and put it in the tumble dryer for 10 minutes on a low heat setting before spraying lightly with the oil. Seemed to do the trick.

I have a K&N 57i and have only cleaned and re-oiled it once. Soaked it with the cleaning spray and allowed it to soak in well - then immersed it in hot water and rinsed with clean hot water. I allowed it to dry at room temp overnight for fear of shrinking the filtering material. K&N specifically advise against the use of compressed air as it could blow a hole in the filter material.
BTW go very easy with the oil
