not long ago received a very nice chromed strut brace for my 99 impreza,was assured by the seller that it would fit as it wouldnt on his earlier slanted intercooler model and he had purchase it by mistake.now had a quick ftment/line up today,and it appears there is no way it will pass by the intercooler with out intereferance..then i realised ive also fitted an intercooler tilt kit which has obviously raised the intercooler right into the path that the strut brace would like to take............ now then is there anyone who runs both a strut brace and ic tilt kit that can show me the type of brace req to fit to see if mine is the right shape.....or anyone want a unused brace that might or might not fit their car??

An old topic, but seems to be just what I need to know...

Just got a rear strut brace for my wagon and it fits a treat. Problem is the front one doesn't seem to fit at all, although I do have a tilt kit. But it's only up by about 2cm at the rear of the intercooler, surely?

So it looks like it's a tight fit then. The roblem is: I can keep the tilt kit or fit the new strut brace but not both. My inclination is to keep the tilt kit and flog the brace. Any opinions? Does the front strut brace actually make any difference anyway?
