Default Removing splash guards from MY93 WRX

Bought my 93 WRX a couple of months ago, and it came fitted with 4x splash guards things, 2 on the leading edge of the sideskirts, 2 on the leading edge of the rear bumper.

Personally I think they look awful and am thinking of removing them, but can anyone tell me if they are bonded on as well as bolted, as I don't want to have to remove loads of glue and/or repaint underneath. I just remember the problems caused by one of the awful wind deflectors leaving glue and removing the paint.

Cheers.

They should just have some double sided tape behind them.

They are nearly £200 for the full set from a main dealer... they command a high price second hand also, so don't throw them in the bin whatever you do !!

Cool, thanks. Didn't want to rip them off to find there was no paint underneath and that I couldn't stick them back on again !

I noticed one website selling them, and also noticed the high price. If I can get them off the car, they will be going on eBay PDQ. I just think they are a bit OTT and prefer the cleaner lines of the car without them.

Not sure if you will find paint under them mind so just go carefull when you remove one.. the rear may be the best to have a look under.

I recently fitted a set on mine... I do prefer the car without them but after fitting 18" alloys the dirt that is thrown up the side of the car is quite something but since fitting them they really do serve a purpose, so if you consider going to 18's in the future I would compromise and leave them on for now.

Thanks for the advice.

I notice there are some brand new replica ones on eBay at the moment, and Revolution motorsport are selling them for about £130 a pair for genuine ones - ouch !!
