Best filter replacement for APS CAI?
This may seem a silly question but before people should me down and say "The APS one obviously" i do remember reading that some people found the filter they supplied to be slightly on the restrictive side.
I have recently come in to possession of this CAI and as far as i am aware it has a K&N filter with it (as its not new)
So therefore i was wondering if there were any recommendations out there as to what i could replace it with for best performance.
Green seem to do a massive range of replacement filters but im unsure as to the bore of the APS pipe so have held off thus far.
Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Hi Neil,
I have one of these on my car. I have replaced the K&N Filter with a quickshift racing one this has a very fine steel mesh like the Blitz SUS filters. I had to get an adapter plate from quick shift and a bit of silicone pipe to mate the pair up. I cant remember the dimensions but I have been running circa 400 bhp without any problems for around 12,000 miles. Although the car was mapped to the steel mesh filter and not the K&N. I did have some MAF issues with the K&N as its one of those filters that has a fine oil on it.
Hope that helps

Thanks darren thats useful too. I quite like the idea of the mesh filter but only if i left the foglight out so it would protect the filter a bit!

Mine has the P1 Driving lamps instead of the OEM fog lights but I have removed the orange wedges to aid the flow to the filter.
