DO a reset first mate, the ecu stores any codes and they stay there until reset.

Some of them codes could be 8 years old for example.

Just changed my exhaust and found some error codes along the way.

Managed to split a small pipe near turbo. 10mm outside diameter about 5mm inside and I've been told its a Vent Valve. Anyway replaced it with a 'bit of tube' and having overboost problems. Found out it has a small metal bit inside the tube - no chance of guessing that from the outside.

The error codes and over boost symptoms may not be related. If you have this pipe (not all do - not sure of age etc...) but the symptoms are the same as mine, check its not split. New ones about £4 from a dealer - mine arrives tomorrow.

Also I've heard it may be worthwhile putting your own earth from battery to the block, this can help reduce 'fake' error codes.

94 car has different boost control to your's Clint.

8 years was purely a statement, just to say that codes can be stored for a while.

I have run diagnostic check on cars that have had a high number of codes, all of which have cleared after reset.

I reckon the codes have nothing to do with your overboost, you need to check all of your boost control pipework. Make sure all of the pipes to the solenoid are secure (at the turbo end also) and check as Clint stated that you cant see any splits etc.

Do you have a boost gauge?
