heater blower and rear heated windscreen problems
Hi all,
New to the forum and have done a search but cant find mention of these problems so here goes!
I have a 93 jap import WRX with the following problems.
When I am driving I can hear what sounds like 2 relays clicking on and off all the time and the heater blower keeps switching its self on and off. The clicking noises are comming from behind the glove box and also somewhere down behind the dash on the drivers side(the latter is the one that clicks all the time the other just occasionally). I have spoken to another forum member about this and he suggested checking out the variable resistor which I will do but also wanted to see if any one else had any ideas. I dont think its the blower unit itself cos it works fine sometimes but think there is either a loose connection somewhere or whatever controls the blowers is malfunctioning (variable resistor?).
The second problem is that my rear heated screen does not work. I used a circuit tester (the screwdriver with the bulb inside type) and there is power at the connection on the drivers side of the heater strips but nothing at the passenger side of the screen?? Is this normal or could this be the problem? i.e broken wire somewhere going to the passenger side?
Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks
Lee
