ECU codes
Hi,
I've just recently bought a 95 STI and been having problems with it cutting out whilst idling. I have adjusted the idle control solenoid and now it dosn't cut out but now sometimes it idles at about 1200rpm and sometimes it idles at about 900rpm.
Recently on the way home from work the engine check light has been coming on. The check light seems to come on at the same point on my journey home, half way along a road that is on quite a steep incline.
today i checked the fault codes out and it brung up-
24- idle air control solenoid
31- throttle position sensor
32- oxygen sensor
45- pressure exchange solenoid valve
then i followed the proceedure to clear the codes. whilst driving the car sensibly for 2mins with the black and green connectors connected the ECL started to flash, this time only bringing up 32- oxygen sensor.
i then switched of the ignition and disconnected the green connectors leaving the black ones connected to read the codes. i was expecting to be left with only one code for the oxygen sensor at this point but it still brought up the origional four codes. also after inspecting the ecu for loose connections i found out that the car has a HKS fuel cut defender and a speed defender fitted, could these be causing my error codes?
has anyone had similar problems, any advice appreciated.
Cheers!
