Default Got 300bhp/286lbft from UK 99

Just had a Powerstation Tec3 remap thanks to the group buy. Got 300.9 bhp and 286lbft torque. See RR graph and details below.

MY99 UK Turbo 2000 wagon
VF35 turbo
Open neck decat downpipe, wrapped
Decat centre pipe, Janspeed with small straight-through box
Prodrive back box
Gruppe S headers, wrapped
Standard OE up-pipe blended in and out (see below)
Henko racing fuel pump
SX adjustable fuel pressure regulator

ADDED - forgot to say this was at 1.2/1.25 bar boost

The VF35 gives a good build-up of torque but I found that with the Gruppe S up-pipe fitted I lost a lot of bottom-end which was restored when I re-fitted the smaller-diameter OE pipe. Guess it better matches the relatively small turbo exhaust housing (P15).

A nice result, how does it feel on the road? Should make for a very quick point to point car. Have you don e any suspension or brake upgrades?

All the best,

NS04 - it feels great. I commute along side roads and overtaking is a breeze.
I find the 99 4-pots and suspension a good compromise for road driving in the south, as you cannot thrash it that much. Bridgestone tyres (I have RE050's) give much more dynamic stability than softer tyres like Pirellis, Goodyear.
Might be tempted to get some bigger brakes though.

I used to have the same set up, minus the headers on my MY99. Mine made 311bhp and 292lbft torque. Do you find the extra grunt seems quite high up the revs when driving? I never really gained much ground on my mates decatted cars point to point, but I knocked 1 second off my 1/4 mile (down to 13.1).

Enjoy!
