Boost Gauge Fitting to new STi
Hi Folks,
I have just bought a 54 reg STi and I am wanting to fit a boost gauge, I have found a few other threads on fitting bosst gauges but just wanted to check that it is the same for the new STi, ie. the bung is on the inlet manifold the same as on the earlier cars.
Any help appreciated.
Al.

Thanks for the quick reply!
Not overly keen on tapping into a dump valve line will it do any harm or is it just the same???
I am thinking back to an old RS Turbo I had a while ago and it had a line to the dump valve and a separate one to the gauge from opposite sides of the inlet manifold.

Hi m8 I have fitted one to my bugeye, I dont think ther is any difference in the engine. If you look on the front side of the inlet maniflod (other side to throttle housing) just to the left of where the throttle housing is, there is a metal pipe bending dowm with a rubber pipe on it leading to some valve. I have cut that pipe and t-pieced there for my boost gauge with no problems . If you need let me know and I will try to put a picture on a reply. All the best Steve

Subaru instructions say cut 80mm down from the valve, found this a bit hard to achieve as makes the end of the pipe hard to reach, with hindsight think I would have done same as richiewong, anyway here's mine...
