What models?

When I read things like this it makes me think that the sti's and p1's that seem to die really are down to ancillary problems (MAF etc)

The amount of P1's/sti's I see for sale that have had rebuilds at circa 45k miles is unreal.

It is about to click over to 179,000miles on the original engine and gearbox..
I bought it nearly 5years ago with 76k on the clock and all the receipts and the dealer history (on the computer) don't show a rebuild anyway.

Not been standard since about 85k.

Folks, what do you mean by original engine? Never touched any internals and never opened? Please talk about your bhp numbers as well =)

150'000kms - first 50k at around 260-270 hp, second 50k around 320hp, last 50k 250-380hp. It's also my mapping test bed, so has suffered a fair amount of det in the interests of science, and for the last 3 years has been regularly flogged on track. Wish it would break sometimes - would force me to fit the 2.5 that's been ready the past 6 months!

110,000 miles on my 98 WRX wagon. Now undergoing an engine rebuild because of a knackered bottom end. To be fair, I have ragged it about something rotten since I bought it on 105k when it was running sweet as a nut LOL
