Default Scary Oil Pressure V2

Following on from my previous thread, I just checked my oil level but as I took the dipstick out I noticed what appeared to be steam/smoke coming out. This can only be bad.

So is it the head? anyone got any other thoughts?

Thanks alot

If you ran the engine with little, or no oil, it's very likely you've done a fair amount of damage to bearings, rings, in fact most moving parts that rely on oil.
I wouldn't start it, but get it to a specialist who can check it out for you.

As per other thread.

Oil leak that bad would be seen easily & burning that much oil would be like a Bonfire out of the exhaust, So mighty strange. Is the commander still displaying high knock ?? if it was the bottom end you would expect it to still be knocking Etc ???

So I gave in and called out the RAC, and according to the bloke who looked at it the piston ring/s have gone. Maybe he's wrong, but probably not.

so I'm looking for somewhere in the South Wales area or maybe further if they do a good deal on towing for an engine rebuild.

also any one have any ideas how much damage this could have caused and of course what sort of money am I looking at for the repair?

and on a plus note what can I upgrade when I get it fixed that will generally improve the car? options/thoughts/ideas/possible projects ??

P.S anyone got an engine they dont want?

Thanks all

We can certainly sort you out, either with a straight rebuild or whatever upgrade you have in mind. Give me a call if you wish - no obligation.
