i had my remap yesterday on my my00 scoob turbo. it was only running 203bhp when i took it in which i was a bit gutted about because its got full decat, ported headers, greddy up pipe and cold airbox mod but after they tuned it it came out with 250bhp. im very impressed with the increase in power and how it drives but i still want it to be 270-280ish so what are my next steps? they did mention that my prodrive backbox was making a mad air rushing sound so i reckon it could be a bit restrictive. any advise apreciated. thanks

to be honest I wouldnt worry about it, rolling roads can be fairly inaccurate anyway you can get major differences between different roads. The main thing is are you happy with the car now? A 43 bhp improvement is not to be sniffed at, do you think you could tell if it had an extra 20 bhp, numbers are for pub talk, its how it delivers its power that matters imo

Where did you have the car RR who did the map? Do you have the graphs? It does sound low for your mods, with the provisos about RRs accepted, but then it was starting from a lower than ave baseline. Did the mapper identify any faults with the car prior to mapping. It may be a failing component that is
causing the reduced power. I stand to be corrected, but its very unlikely to be the back box -the main perk of changing a back box is the noise- you could be looking at a few bhp, but nothing like 20-30.

Prodrive backbox is usually good for up to 320-330bhp before the flow rate becomes an issue. I fitted one to my 03WRX and it dropped it from 365 to 355bhp but it was so silent in the car, I'll probably live with it !

If you're worried, suggest you take it up with PS though- they seem like a very nice bunch and I'm sure would be more than happy to help

There are variances in power output and 204 is by no means way out. It would be almost impossible for the thing to show exactly 218bhp after all this time, especially taking into account the inaccuracies in rolling roads anyway. The important thing to pay attention to is the difference between 'before' and 'after'. This sounds like a fairly hefty increase (approx. 25% extra power) so I'd be pretty happy with that if I were you. THe main thing is whether it feels quick enough for you or not. If not, then yes you need to look at further tuning. Don't worry too much about power figures.
