Default Boost guage question

This is the position of my boost guage when the engine is off.

Should it be dead on zero, does it need recalibrating?

I`ve the same guage as this and it reads 0 when the motor is off i guess it will read a little low , most guages are out a little but they all give you an idea of normal readings.

This type of gauge is for indication only really - once the pointer moves away from the zero position with the engine stopped it's pretty much u/s. You can reset it to zero with a blunt screwdriver through the back of the gauge, but you can never rely on it being a true reading.

Cheers

Sorry to hijack your thread!

I've got an HKS gauge that reads below 0 when the car is started!!! I was told that the engine bay was pressure washed before I bought it and it was at that stage it started reading wrong!

Will mine have a screw which I can adjust????

Sorry! Thanks!!!!
