Question Identify My engine

Hi all,
New to this place so firstly... A big HELLO.
I hope someone can point Me in the right direction.
I have a 1971 vw bay window camper fitted with a Scooby 1800 engine . The only info I have is that it is from a 1988/89 (F reg) and the engine code is EA81. How do I identify the model it came from to ease servicing, fault finding and tuning??
Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.
Also can anyone recomend a good scooby garage or mechanic in the North East (Redcar/ Darlington) area.
Thanks Guys
Daz

Haynes do a complete maintenance manual for your engine.
you will find all you need there I think.
As to a good independant in the North East...sorry!

Oh, and welcome to the Snet.

Graham.

Thumbs up Thanks.

Graham,
Thank you for the prompt answer, I have done a search on ebay... and found the manual. I guess going back so far (88) there was not a "Model Name"as such. Just "SUBARU 1800" . This will get Me sorted... so thanks again.
