Default Lack of Boost.....SOLUTION!!!!

Recently Ive been suffering with a "lack of boost". The symptons were this: No error codes....BUT the car would go into limp mode after 10-15mins (after resetting the ECU) generally drive like a bag of sh*te . this happened like clockwork, reset ECU 10-15mins ok then WALLOP limp mode.

Solution is to replace the ECU. Now this worked for me and I know a few of the chaps had the same problem so...there you go.

I went from a U8 to a Z4 ECU the cars a 93wrx.

Hope this helps lads. This battlestation is fully operational.!!!!!

Id like to thank BonzWRX for the ECU,nice one m8!

Right!!!!! wheres those little sh*ts that have been terrorising me when i was in limp mode! Scooby is back at the top of the food chain!!!

Sorry to hear that bruv. Like i said its if you've got NO error codes but drives in Sh*t mode oops LIMP mode. Thats the key i think. where did you get the ECU from? What year is your motor?

Hello m8, i feel that could be either fuel cut from overboost or you could have a dodgy boost soleniod. Some of the chaps on here are well clued up on these problems. suggest searching on here for 'overboost' fuel cut and boost soleniod and see if they are what you are experiencing.

Have you got any error codes by the way?

cheers

no error codes or anything, i went shopping today drove for abot 20miles everthing was fine, done the shopping got back into car then as i started to come onto boost th hesitation was there again then after 10 mins it cleared and was ok?

I'm sure it's a ecu fault, because it happened as soon i swapped it.
