PPP / WRX

If they're on the Subaru website then I would think they should be fairly close.
Oh look, they are:

My PPP WRX agreed exactly with Prodrives figures when tested at Power Engineering, but then the PPP figures were probably derived from there anyway.
Go to a meaner RR and you may feel cheated though.
What is your concern over this anyway?

Controversial area this..I had my 03 WRX PPP with Decat RR at prosport at a LADS rolling road day. My car produced about 260 bhp and a 05 wrx ppp with low miles produced about 250bhp. On the same day a standard P1 produced 280 bhp and two standard 05 STI's produced 270 bhp. Naturally a lot of people thought that the roller were underreading but it seemed to me that they were bang on.
The only conclusion that i could come to is that the PPP is very conservative, it will only produce the 265ps in the most favourable conditions.
Having said that, whatever the figures are, the PPP for the wrx tranforms the car.
I have recently had my sti tsl 333 car rr'ed at prosport and it made 334bhp.

Thats interesting Stevie, Ta. I've driven my mates WRX PPP and agree that the extra OOMPH is noticeable. It's just the louder exhaust that puts me off (2 small kids).
I guess that differences on a rolling road will be dependent on air density, make of fuel etc. It's seems from opinion on here that the quoted 265ps is realistic enough.
