Intercooler pipe size
I have a HKS intercooler fitted and the pipe that runs to the throtle body changes in size about halfway along its length. Would there be any benefits in getting a pipe made up that is the smaller length till it gets to nearer the throttle body, then making it bigger? Would this reduce lag?
Also, where is the best place on the intercooler piping to have the dump valve fitted? Near the turbo or close to the throttle body?
Thanks
Nathan

Just wondered if a smaller diameter pipe would give less lag. Might see about relocating the dumpvalve as the one I have plumbs in just after the turbo.

the < 97 kit does.. as original dv was in that location..
I wouldn't say it was worth moving..
pipe diameter is complicated.. too narrow and it slows flow, two large and it slows flow.. as that air is force in by the turbo I don;t see it would be an issue being larger, more a problem if smaller.
