Default 18" Wheels

Anyone have any experience with fitting 18" wheels to a 2001 WRX. The wheels i have are 18" x 7.5". But i have had some difference in advice as to what size tyres i should use. it seems that 215/35/18, 225/35/18 and 225/40/18 all fit onto the wheel, can anyone give me advice on weather these tyres actually fit under the arches without any problems and how much they alter the rolling radius from the standard 215/45/17. as i dont want to have to get the speedo recalibrated. also there seems to be far more manufacturers producing 225/40/18 than the other sizes which at the moment is whats influencing my decision. Any advice would be greatlly appreciated. Many Thanks

Thumbs up

225-40-18 is the recomended tyre size for the bug eyes. but a classic would have 215-35-18 to which have have fitted on my classic.

I have 225-40-18 on my blobeye WRX, and the tyres dont even catch with 3 large adults in the back, also the car has been lowered on Coilovers.

Had wider tyres last time, and they caught on standard WRX ride height with 2 adults in the back, So make sure you pick the right tyre size.
