would fitting prodrive exhaust sys gain me either more bhp and noise? over a standard STI sys. Also if I was to get it from a main dealer would the warranty still be valid do you think?
I am after a slight increase in the flat4 sound but not too keen just yet on the full blown super loud exhaust that are about, so would the Prodrive be a good choice?.
Thanks
Darren.

I fitted one of these a walbro fuel pump and a re map and got 312 bhp. 287bhp before the re map. It was alot cheaper than a PPP.
The exhaust gives a slightly louder sound but not to loud.
Don't know if you can get just the exhaust from a dealer?

Just thinking of this exhaust as it is purpose made for the car, but I guess so are other sys, don't know what to do, might ask at the dealers next time I'm up there.
Exhausts like H&S, afterburner are mega loud aren't they?

Dealers will have WR sport version of the Prodrive box but it's not cheap new, the PPP version of the box is same but has a round rather than oval tailpipe, you can't buy this one on its own, just as part of PPP. You see them regular on here and Fleabay, between £60 - £150. They sound great, but don't expect to notice much if any change in performance..![Smile](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Oh and I'm told that they do fit the 06 WRX and STi..

Well I want a system that gives me the most performance, but with out messing about with the cats for MOT time. Have looked under the car and the whole exhaust pipes are pretty cruddy looking, obviously now stainless steel.
As I said I'll see what the dealer has got or can get.
Oh by the way car is a 05 Impreza STI (non PPP)

Thinking about it I've only had the car 4weeks, and although I have seen other Scoobys about I have yet to meet a fellow driver and have a chat, that way they are more than likey to have a different exhaust then I can have a listen and ask questions. Did see someone Sunday parked next to me , but by the time I got near my car he drove away, his car had what looked like an Afterburner style, sounded good, but maybe a tad loud, I don't know!
What exhausts do you guys have fitted?

As the whole system only comes as part of the PPP I would think they are pretty rare!
I am toying with the idea of upgrading my 03 STi PPP so It's possible the system would become available. (approx. 10k miles) Like you, I don't really want increased noise so I've got a bit of searching to do to find a package that will give me what I want without silly noise.

You can buy the whole system from USA or only the downpipe from USA and the rest from UK with oval tail pipe.
The noise (sorry... melody) is perfect for my likings but don't expect it to bee much more loud than a factory system with aftermarket back box!
